Following
the tradition of previous UML Conferences, UML 2004
will host a number of workshops. The workshops will
provide a collaborative forum for a group of (typically
15 to 30) participants to exchange recent or preliminary
results, to conduct intensive discussions on a particular
topic, or to coordinate efforts between representatives
of a technical community.
In
particular, each workshop should provide a balanced
distribution of its time for both, presentation of papers,
thus favouring the attendance of young researchers,
and discussion. We encourage prospective workshop organizers
to submit proposals for highly-interactive workshops
focusing on either in-depth analysis or broad-ranging
approaches to areas related to UML and modeling in general.
Topics in both research and/or applications are welcome.
The
duration of these workshops is one day and they will
be held on Monday (October 11) and Tuesday (October
12) at the Vila
Galé Ópera Hotel (for a map location
